LDS SEMINARY and INSTITUTE: Micronesia-Guam

From Elder Delfin:
Bula Vinaka everyone!
I hope this message finds you all well and happy. It’s great being on a mission here in the beautiful islands of Fiji. I am currently serving on the island of Vanua Levu, north of the big island of Fiji. There are a lot of sugar cane and copra farms here. There is also a large population of Indian people here... A few days ago I was looking through our area book and saw one record of a family from way back that used to take lessons, so we went and found the house and had a really good lesson. There were ten kids there. They invited us over again so we are going to see them tomorrow. We also challenged one new investigator a few days ago to read and pray about the Book of Mormon and the message we shared. It was one of the best lessons we’ve had so far. I extended the commitment to him to be baptized, promised blessings and testified of it. I really felt the Spirit guiding me and I know he felt it as well. It’s moments like those that build my own testimony, remind me of my purpose out here, keep me strong and motivated for the work, and find more people to share those experiences with. Ahh it’s so great to be out here! This week has been really amazing. I love it here! I love the Fijian people and I love the gospel. I hope you all have a great month and remember to give thanks to the Lord for his many blessings. Moce mada, Elder Delfin
