Outdoor Fitness Bahamas

What is it?
Outdoor Fitness Bahamas is an outdoor group fitness program designed to help you achieve your fitness goals through fitness instruction, nutritional information and a large helping of motivation to keep you on track every step of the way!

Who is the instructor?
The lead instructor is Craig Walkine. Mr. Walkine is a former collegiate athlete and a Certified Fitness Trainer. He is also certified in CPR. Other instructors will participate from time to time.

What if I'm not very physically fit?
Nobody will be left behind or asked to complete more than they are capable of doing safely. If you have five or fifty pounds to lose, you'll find that Outdoor Fitness Bahamas is just the program for you! Women and men of all ages, abilities and fitness levels who participate in Outdoor Fitness Bahamas can achieve incredible results.

You can make a dramatic improvement in your physical and mental well-being. In addition, you'll meet great people who share your same passion for acquiring a more healthy body and mind.

Where does Outdoor Fitness Club activities take place?
Evening sessions take place at The Eastern Parade, East Bay Street and Fort Charlotte Field, West Bay Street. Morning sessions are held to the east of the foot of the “old” Paradise Island bridge just opposite where Outback Steakhouse was located on East Bay Street.

How often do you meet?
Sessions are held 6 days a week – Morning sessions are held Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5 am – 5:45 am at the east of the foot of the Paradise Island Bridge. Evening sessions are held Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 6 pm – 7 pm at the Eastern Parade, and at Fort Charlotte on Tues, Thurs and Sat. at 6:00 pm. All participants are expected to arrive on time!

How much does it cost?
Our fees are $7 per session, $20 per week (3 sessions per week)or $60 for four weeks. Signing up for four weeks saves you 15 % off the regular price. We also offer a 3 month special of $150 which works out to only $4.16 per session.

What happens if it rains?
We have access to alternate locations if the weather does not allow for workouts. Members are advised of these locations in advance.

What do I need to bring?
An exercise mat or large towel, water bottle, running shoes, sweat towel and a positive attitude. You can also bring small hand weights if you like.

What types of exercises are included in the program?
General conditioning, body weight exercises, circuit training, interval training, obstacle courses, core exercises, games and surprises!

What can I expect from OFB?
Your body will become more fit and toned, you will lose pounds and inches and you will gain more confidence and self-esteem.

Will I be sore sometimes?
Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that point, it is slight to moderate. It's part of the process that lets you improve!
