HOW TO POST A PICTURE
For most users, please follow this procedure:
THIS IS A LITTLE TRICKY THE FIRST TIME THROUGH! DO NOT JUST CLICK ON ADD PHOTO ON THE MAIN WALL!! PLEASE READ ON........
1. In the same line as the title Whitewood On Line Garage Sale you will see ABOUT, EVENTS, PHOTOS and FILES. Click on the PHOTOS which opens up all pictures. LOOK for an EXISTING album that suits your item. Click on the album. Near the top right of the page you will see a button that says ADD PHOTO. Click and a window will pop up. After browsing to find your picture on your computer, you will upload your pic. In the description, remember to list your price and location. Congratulations! You have posted an item! Remember to comment on your pic to bring it up on the newsfeed that everyone sees. Everytime someone comments, your pic will come up on the newsfeed. We thank you for posting your items in albums. You will get 30-60 days (or more) posting life! IF you do not have a picture to post, please still post your words under that album that best describes what you are selling! Thanks!
If there is no album that suits you, you will create one. To do that, go back to the wall. You will find an UPLOAD PHOTO button. Click on it. You will find CREATE ALBUM button. Click on that and you will upload your pic and NAME YOUR ALBUM. To do that, you will notice the DATE in big letter at the top. The date is a default heading. Highlight the date and change the title. If you don`t change the date, your album will be called `The Current Date`. PLEASE take the time to do this correctly or you may find your album deleted and group administrators will step in to help you. PLEASE FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS. We don't want you to go to a lot of work and have to re-post.
***********EFFECTIVE AUGUST 29, 2012 EVERYONE IS EXPECTED TO POST IN ALBUMS UNLESS YOUR ONLY FORM OF COMMUNICATION IS BY PHONE!!!!!!!!**************
2. MOBILE USERS: Continue posting to the wall until you are told otherwise. Your pics will not be in albums, but still accepted for 30-60 days(OR MORE!). Facebook has run into difficulties with posting to albums from mobile phones. Proper procedure for posting from mobile phones to albums will be mandatory when ironed out. For now, mobile phone users can consider themselves `off the hook` !!
Note to who is not familiar with facebook garage saling - when posting pictures in albums, your picture IS posted on the wall as well and will show up on the top of the wall when it has been commented on. Let me know if these directions are not clear enough. I will edit to help everyone out.
