I grew up in Hong Kong in the 1970s/80s

Living in HK back then was an incredibly unique experience for many of us - this is a group dedicated to that special era. The run up to the handover still many years away, it was still very much a do what you please society with everyone seemingly living side by side with little problem. It was an era when colonial buidings were still ever present, headmasters walked around in white shirts and white shorts with knee high socks, when the air was clean, when DJ Rick O' Shea of 1044 Commercial Radio ruled the airwaves, when West influenced the East infinitely more than it does today in HK. It was a wonderful time to be growing up in the "colony". Get in touch with lost friends and share your memories, experiences, photos, videos (incl. commercials!) and anything else from that "golden age" right here.
