Ceredigion People's Assembly / Cynulliad Gwerin Ceredigion

Welcome to the Ceredigion branch of the People's Assembly Agains...t Austerity.

The People's Assembly was set up in 2013 when a letter was published in the Guardian newspaper, signed by prominent politicians and public figures including Tony Benn, Caroline Lucas, Natalie Bennett and Jeremy Corbyn. The letter called for a united stand against the government's austerity measures.

The People's Assembly movement has since grown in size and will be holding a march on 20th June 2015, which hundreds of thousands are expected to attend. More information about the People's Assembly can be found here:

The Ceredigion branch has been set up to unify local anti-austerity groups in order to work together and share ideas and resources. We include Ceredigion Against The Cuts, which was formed in 2010 and was very active in its early years, campaigning successfully in 2011 to secure the future of Bodlondeb residential home in Aberystwyth. We also include Ceredigion Uncut, which has organised an anti-austerity picnic in support of nationwide action on 20th June 2015.

We seek to work together with local trade unions, political parties and any groups with whom we share common ground.

Unity is strength.

Groups who support us:
