Discussion Guidelines

*********************

Please read the following guidelines BEFORE posting any messages, pictures and videos on the Jamaicans United Against Domestic Violence page.

1) All messages, pictures and videos MUST be conducive to the discussion about curbing domestic violence and child abuse in Jamaica.

2) Threats, profanity and naming calling is STRICTLY PROHIBITED! Repeated offenders will be removed from the group.

3) WRITING IN ALL CAPS IS EQUIVALENT TO SHOUTING, and is considered rude to some members. Therefore, please refrain from doing so.

4) Please agree to disagree PEACEABLY! Remember this is ONLY a discussion to think of ways in curbing domestic violence and child abuse in Jamaica.

5) Please keep ALL discussions POSITIVE! We are in need of positive and forward thinking individuals that can bring bright ideas to the discussion.

6) Please extend courtesy and tolerance to others.

7) Also, please keep in mind that it's easy to recognize irony, facetiousness, and sarcasm from a speaker, via accompanying facial expressions and tone of voice. It's a lot harder when you're reading something written (probably) by a stranger. The judicious use of emoticons (small text glyphs that indicate emotion) when writing can help to prevent misunderstandings.
