Asia Institute, University of Melbourne

Thursday next week is hopefully going to be sunny so we are having an AIPG BBQ! We would love if you could join us. When: Thursday 6th November, 12-1pm
Where: BBQ next to Sidney Myer building, Southside of outdoor study area. Halal and vegetarian food will be provided. If you could please RSVP with any dietary requirements and your probable attendance by noon Wednesday 5th that would be much appreciated. With the end of the year approaching AIPG is looking to spend more money supporting social and academic events but we also want to discuss other issues concerning postgrad study at AI, what can we do to improve our study experiences? The BBQ will also be a chance to discuss upcoming events such as the postgraduate conference, ideas for end of year events and general things that we would like to change/improve as the current postgraduate cohort. It would also be very helpful if you could please email us at with your contact details (email is fine) so that we can list you as a AIPG members (this helps us ensure funding from GSA) and contact you directly in the future. We also want to expand our membership to postgraduates doing interesting research in Asia and Islamic studies elsewhere in the university, e.g history, school of culture and comms, social sciences, philosophy etc . If you know of anyone who may be interested please let us know and we can extend an invitation to them! Thanks for listening and good luck with your study in the meantime. Yours faithfully AIPG committee - Ted, Tim and Sunny and the wonderful Ash who is helping out.
