Adelaide University Chinese Culture Club (AUCCC)

Ni hao (你好)!

This is the Adelaide University Chinese Culture Club (AUCCC), a place for Adelaide University Students who are interested in Chinese culture and language to express and exchange ideas! This club is supported by the Confucius Institute at the University of Adelaide.

The idea of starting this club came out when I was helping the events of the Institute. I found there are many students who are learning Chinese and interested in Chinese culture. Also there are many students who want to get involved in the cultural events held by the Confucius Institute. They are curious about what is going on at the Confucius Institute. Some came to the Institute tell us they want to take part and get involved in the activities.

There are many cultural clubs at the university, like the French club, German club and Spanish club, but there is still not a university club to promote and celebrate Chinese culture and language. So the Chinese Culture Club is established for this reason.

The main aim of the club is to gather people who have common interests in Chinese culture and language through fun activities. I am also hoping to initiate a volunteer program to support the Confucius Institute's activities and events, such as the annual Chinese speaking competition, Chinese language test (HSK), etc.
