Museum of the Occupation of Latvia

Museum was established in 1993. It tells about the history of Latvia from 1939 to 1991 - during the Soviet and Nazi occupations.

Museum mission: remember, remind, commemorate!

Although it is a non-governmental organization, it has an important role as part of the diplomatic protocol of Latvia.

Each year it is visited by approx. 100 000 visitors, mainly foreign tourists and local school children.
