Kid Witness News by Panasonic Malaysia

Kid Witness News (KWN) is a global video education programme started in 2005 as part of Panasonic Malaysia’s corporate responsibility programme on education. Collaborating with the Ministry of Education, it is open to government schools’ students between 10 and 15 years old.

This programme is designed to help children develop creative-thinking, effective communication and organizational skills, and to cultivate their interest to learn about current issues in their lives. KWN also aims to nurture future leaders who are positive, confident, and are inspired to help make a change in this world so it can be a better place. With Panasonic providing the latest in video equipment and technology to the schools for this program, students are able to develop interest and skills in digital technology through hands-on experience. By having knowledge on digital tools, they can influence their teachers, parents and friends to get more involved in information technology.

Established by Panasonic in the United States in 1989, KWN has since expanded to South America, Europe, Asia Pacific Region, and the Middle East, involving more than 130,000 children the world over
