What is Christian Union and why do we exist?

50% of our most influential leaders graduate from just 8 of our nation’s 2,474 four-year colleges. These schools are Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Princeton and Yale. Their graduates include Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and Ted Turner.

For our culture to reflect the values and teachings of Jesus Christ, our leaders must know God and reflect Christian values in every area of their lives. However, if the most influential positions are occupied by secularists, we have no good reason to expect that our country should be anything but resolutely secular.

Christian Union develops students at our Nation’s most influential and secular universities to become Christian leaders, positively impacting our culture – and the world. This unique ministry employs in-depth teaching, mentoring and coaching to produce dynamic, life-changing spiritual growth in future leaders.

We are committed to the creation of an environment in which mature Christ-centered leaders are developed and nurtured for every sector of contemporary society, for the glory of God and the good of the world. In the college setting, it is imperative that we explore and understand the intellectual dimensions of faith and its relevance to the university and to the world. We love the gospel of Jesus and want to live it out authentically with others.

*Christian Union is an independent Christian leadership development ministry to students specifically focused on Ivy League schools including Dartmouth, Princeton, Harvard, Yale and Columbia.
