While many are still questioning Fiji Football Association's decision to select Ba to play Suva in the Champion versus Champion, Suva president Mahen Prasad says the parent body has made the right call and they are ready to face the Men In Black. Speaking to FijiLive, Prasad said people should realise that Ba was last year's Courts IDC winner and the tournament was played in the new season calendar as Fiji FA's season ended after the National Football League. "I know a lot of people are still fussing over the decision but Suva FA does not have any issue about that and we respect Fiji FA's decision and know how it was derived." He said the team will re-assemble on January 05 and will begin its preparations under the watchful eyes of coach Gurjit Singh who also returns on the same date after a little vacation in the US. Fiji FA chief executive Bob Kumar has also clarified on the issue stating that the 2013 IDC was played in the new calendar, hence Ba qualifies for the competition. The Men-in -Black and the Capital City last met in the Champion vs Champion series in 2013 in which Ba defeated Suva 1-0 in the first leg and 5-1 in the second to claim its 18th title. Mean while Fiji FA is yet to confirm the dates of the two-legged series which will be played over a fortnight at the ANZ Stadium in Suva and Govind Park in Ba.
