Rotaract Club of Stony Brook University

Originally a Rotary International Youth Program, Rotaract is the collegiate arm of Rotary International.

Rotary:
A non-religious organization that is solely formed to bring together business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

Rotary is a worldwide organization (32,000 clubs and over 1.2 million members world-wide), the RotarACT club benefits from the Rotary connection. The service projects become a worldwide effort and the teamwork yields a bigger difference.

Club Goal:
Meet every two weeks, which feature speakers, special outings, social activities, discussions or visits to other clubs. Club members get together on designated days for service project work, social events, or professional/leadership development workshops.

Purpose:
To provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.
