Zaanstad Mamas

ZAANSTAD MAMAS SCOPE: THIS IS A GROUP TO CONNECT MUMS LIVING IN THE ZAANSTAD AREA, SHARE INFORMATION LOCALLY RELEVANT AND ORGANIZE LOCAL MEET UP & PLAY-DATES.

While our main communication language will be English, we welcome also Dutch mamas. Please feel free to invite other mamas you know in the area.

We operate as a sub-group of Amsterdam Mamas, therefore we comply to the same principles and rules: To provide information and support to English speaking parents in Amsterdam and across the Netherlands. In addition to that, we also want to connect with local Dutch mamas.

To find out more about Amsterdam Mamas, see the Doc "Amsterdam Mamas Essential Information". You can keep up to date with all our latest news by "linking" our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Amsterdam.Mamas

NEWSLETTER:
Amsterdam mamas currently sends out three newsletters per week - The Weekend Roundup (letting you know what's on for families in Amsterdam) and the Weekly Bargains Newsletter (discounts and bargains to be had on baby and kid stuff) and the Reader's Digest (a collection of all the posts published on the website the previous week). They also publish a monthly newsletter full of promotions for our members. To receive these newsletters, sign up at http://eepurl.com/g6g8U

HOUSE RULES:
We have a set of community guidelines in the Docs section, please read the document before posting. In summary these are:

- We cannot have discussions where people give medical and/or medication advice. What works for one person could be very dangerous for someone else. If in doubt, always call your doctor.
- Posts containing obscene or discriminatory language or images will be removed
- Whilst we welcome posts on all subjects we recognise that people can get very passionate about their own parenting choices especially on sensitive topics such as vaccination, feeding choices, birthing choices etc. We are happy to have those discussions and believe it is important to represent a range of viewpoints. However, we ask you to remain respectful and civil during these discussions. Nobody has the right to judge another person's parenting choices. Mind your manners and do not say in the group what you wouldn't be prepared to say in person
- We reserve the right to immediately remove any posts or links to articles which we believe are inflammatory, use scaremongering tactics to skew the readers viewpoint or do not contain facts from credible sources.
