Judo at the University of Washington

The University of Washington judo club practices at the IMA every Monday and Wednesday from 6:30pm-8:30pm.

Judo "the gentle way" is a traditional Japanese martial art popular worldwide (officail olympic sport). The "gentle way" theory behind this sport is coupled with its competitive nature, where the goal of each match is to either throw your opponent to the ground, immobilize or subdue your opponent with grappling, or force him to submit by joint locking the elbow or by executing choke.

It is a healthy, awesome sport for both men and women and not only trains the body, but also the mind.
