Adelaide University Swimming Club

A group for past and present members of the Adelaide University Swimming Club.

Established: 1924 (Women’s) and 1930 (Men’s)

Principal Activity: 2 - 3km of social lap swimming to a Swimplan Programme per training session for approximately 1 hour. Swimmers must be able to swim at least 400m, including freestyle, backstroke and breastroke. Unfortunately, we do not offer lessons. The club is not affiliated with any other swimming organisations and does not participate in regular competitions apart from the annual Australian University Games, if a team is arranged.

Training Times: Monday 7:00pm & Thursday 7:00pm during the university term time. We meet by the deep end of the main pool.

Cancellations: Monthly cancellations due to Public Holidays and Major Events at the Adelaide Aquatic Centre are posted on the blacks website:

Membership: All members receive a free Adelaide University Swimming Club swimming cap upon joining for a university year!
The Adelaide University Sports Association fee of $66.00 must also be paid. Once this fee has been paid, Associate Members may join any of the Adelaide University Sports Association clubs.

Entry Fee: The entry fee of $6.00 (2012 financial year price) per visit for tertiary students must be paid prior to training. The casual entry fees as well as prices for memberships and multivisit cards are available at the centre's website link below.
