CS183B @ Texas A&M University

Welcome to "How to Start a Startup" @ Texas A&M University.

Sam Altman, President of Y Combinator startup accelerator, is teaching a course at Stanford this fall called "How To Start A Startup" (CS183B). Altman will lead the first two sessions, but other guest speakers include Y Combinator founder Paul Graham, Paypal founder Peter Thiel, Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, venture capitalist Marc Andreessen, Box founder Aaron Levie, LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman, and more. CS183B is designed to be a one-class business course for people interested in startups. The lecturers will cover everything from: how to come up with ideas and evaluate them, how to get users and grow, how to do sales and marketing, how to hire, how to raise money, company culture, operations and management, business strategy, and more.

This group will be organizing sessions to watch the lecture videos. We’ll discuss the lectures, brainstorm ideas, and refine them over the course of the semester.
