Cambridge United Methodist Church

Address: 640 C.R. 202, Abbeville MS. Cambridge United Methodist Church was founded in 1878, and is said to be the second oldest church in Lafayette County, Mississippi.

"Open hearts, open minds, open doors: The people of the United Methodist Church." We are a small, friendly, historic, rural church in Northeast Lafayette County, Mississippi. We have traditional Methodist services, with lots of singing, good Methodist hymns. We sing from the United Methodist Hymnal and sometimes the Cokesbury Hymnal and Heavenly Highways.

We are in the New Albany District, the Central Lafayette Parish, with Oxford's Christ UMC, Pine Flat UMC and Abbeville United Methodist Church. Sunday service is at 9:30 AM with Sunday School at 10:30.

On 5th Sundays all the churches in the Parish meet together for a single service at 11 AM, alternating sites. Please phone to confirm location, if needed.

One week each summer, we participate in the August Camp Meeting at The Old Methodist Campground on Campground Road, off Hwy 6 E.

Wednesday night suppers alternate as follows: first week, Abbeville; second week, Cambridge; fourth week, Christ UMC. Wonderful pot luck suppers, and an inspiring, helpful message from Gene and Kirk. Christmas and other holidays have special events, to be posted, as they may vary.
