Columbia University KGSA

The Korean Graduate Students Association (KGSA) at Columbia University has been established in 1967. It is the oldest Korean Student Association among Ivy League Universities. Columbia KGSA has a long and proud tradition of representing Korean culture in America.

Currently, Columbia KGSA represents over 700 students in 17 different Columbia graduate schools and 3 affiliate schools. In addition, there are thousands of successful and influential alumni all over the globe.

Our annual events include but are not limited to:

1) KGSA welcome party - One of our biggest events of the year! Held at the beginning of every fall semester to welcome new students. Orientation to Columbia & Korean Community with plenty of Korean food/games/gifts involved!

2) Korea Forum - Invitation of notable figures in Korean culture, politics, and business for lecture & discussion with Columbia community. About 2-3 Korea Forums are held each year.

3) Korean Service Day - Day of volunteering to Korean community centers in NYC. This is done to foster growing relationship between KGSA and larger Korean community in greater New York.

4) Networking events with other NYC schools – NYU, SVA, Pratt, Parsons, FIT, Baruch

5) Annual KGSA Christmas Party for Charity
