Dachshunds Anonymous Newcastle – (DAN) is a fun, social networking group for Dachshunds and their owners in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Hunter areas.
This group aims to provide an opportunity for fellow dachshunds and their owners to socialise, network, arrange play dates either individually or as a group. It’s a chance for Dachshaholics to make friends, discuss and share tips about training (or lack there of!), health, nutrition, and general well-being.
DAN meets on the SECOND and FOURTH Sunday of each month. The SECOND Sunday meeting is held at Nesca Park, Newcastle off leash area from 10:00am till 12.00pm.
The FOURTH Sunday meet is an Adventure meet held at a different location around Newcastle, Lake Mac or Hunter Valley each month. Keep an eye on the events page for the location of the Adventure meet.

DAN is interested in the welfare of our special breed; issues such as Intervertebral Disk Disease (IVDD) awareness and assisting Dachshund Rescue Australia with fundraising.

Any person/s not complying or causing segregation among DAN members will be deleted from FB page are no longer welcome to attend live meets.
All administrators involved in the running of this group do not take any responsibility for slander, abuse or criticism in posts on this page, therefore we are no longer responsible for any legal outcomes. The poster of the slander, abuse or criticism is responsible.
3. If you would like to sell something on DAN FB page in order to assist with fundraising, you need to contact admin first and they will review. Any selling posts not approved will unfortunately be removed.
4. We are NOT a puppy trading post, and DO NOT support irresponsible backyard breeders or puppy farms i.e. no selling of puppies on our page. Posts regarding females for breeding or males for studs are NOT permitted and will be removed.
