Healthy FlyGirl Support Group

Healthy FlyGirl Support Group is for FlyBabies that have made it their goal to become healthier and happier in 2014 and beyond. This group was started in January 2011, and still has some of the active members THREE YEARS later! YAY! Most old posts, pics and documents are still accessible so you can see what we've been up to in the past. While there is no 'obligation' to post daily, we know that in life you often get what you give, and this is especially true with support groups. The more you participate, the more you'll get from it. ;)

Here you will find support, encouragement, tips, discussions of what works for us, recipes and much more. It's a place to share your successes AND your challenges. However, the most important thing you will find here is friendship. Recipes and other information can be found in the FILES/DOCS. There's a lot there, so invest some time, and see what appeals to you.

This is not a diet group, however many of us do have weight loss as a secondary goal to becoming healthier.

4) Posture Check! Your confidence needs it!

There is also a monthly event for all things FlyLady clutter/cleaning related so you are welcome to do that here too.

New for 2014, we are focusing on one Healthy Habit each month. So far we have done:

** MEATLESS MONDAYS are supported here with several members joining in. Look for it in the weekly Planning Thread.

** For those who are interested, we do a weekly weigh-in on Friday mornings. A member (currently Ana) will put all the weights along with height/goals into a chart, which is updated on Sunday mornings. This way we have an ongoing tally for those who wish to maintain, lose or gain weight.

There are no rules about what you can or can't eat or do. We are all on a personal journey to find what works for us. We have members following Gluten Free (for health/medical reasons), Paleo, Low Carb, Vegetarian and other eating plans. This is NOT a group promoting the latest 'fad diet', 'pill' or "miracle solution".

Feel free to share your before and after pictures, successes and struggles. The privacy setting for this group is "Closed" so you can be sure everything you post within this group is safe from external eyes. And internally, we work to keep this a drama and judgement free zone.
