Carlos Esparza Sr. was from Piedras Negras, Mexico. In 1955, Carlos Esparza Sr. and wife Rosa Esparza (Madez) traveled with their only son, at the time, Carlos Esparza Jr. from Harlingen, Texas. They settled in Chicago Heights, IL where they had six more children Oscar, Sandra, Eva, Rosa, Norma and Debbie.
