What is a vegan - A vegan is someone who tries to live without exploiting animals, for the benefit of animals, people and the planet. Vegans eat a plant-based diet, with nothing coming from animals - no meat, milk, eggs, fish, seafood’s, insects, or honey.

A vegan lifestyle also avoids leather, wool, silk (including pure chiffon, georgette and other animal products for clothing or any other purpose.

Vegans also avoid Pearls, Ivory ornaments, Gelatin, Bone China Crockery or Cosmetics containing any animal ingredients or passed through any kind of animal testing etc.

Vegans can try to choose organic plant based stuff as far as possible. Usage of pesticides causes death of millions of small creatures.

Vegans boycotts usage of Animals for Entertainment like riding, hunting, fishing, visiting zoo & circus.

Reasons for people turning Vegan-
1. Animal rights issues.
2. Compassionate reasons.
3. Environmental reasons.
4. Personal health issues.

Vegans must get involved themselves in any sports, physical exercise, yoga or meditation apart from exposure to sunlight every day and regular supplementation of Vitamin B-12 for health benefits. Vegans of age 40+ are recommended to go for annual routine health check up like non vegans even if they do not feel any health problems.

Vegans can use/ eat refined sugar (if not processed through Bone char), Vegetable Oil, deep fried food (fried in Vegetable Oil), Gluten, Tea, Coffee in moderate manner unless advised by any doctor or health expert. Intake of Hydrogenated Vegetable oil, Colors, Chemicals should be kept very limited for achieving pink of health.
