CamEAS - Cambridge University Eastern African Society

Overview:
This is the official Facebook group for CamEAS which is a networking forum for students of East Africa/Horn of Africa heritage and friends of CamEAS who share an interest and a willingness to participate in the region’s culture, education and development.

Membership:
CamEAS Facebook group is open to all members and prospective members of the Cambridge University Eastern African Society, and all alumni and current members of the University of Cambridge irrespective of nationality, as long as they ascribe to the Society's core values. Individuals from outside the university are also welcome to join CamEAS as associate members.

Events & Initiatives:
CamEAS will seek to organize activities along socio-cultural; education and dialogue; and advocacy and development dimensions. To this effect, CamEAS will hold regular social meetings and events such as film screenings, food evenings, a bi-termly speaker series, and informal adhoc activities/prompts targeting specific awareness subjects.

Look out for updates on forthcoming events for the opportunity to make friends, learn and discuss about pertinent issues in the region, and get involved in CamEAS initiatives in Eastern Africa.
