Classic Jaguars & Daimlers 1931 to 1970

The "Classic Jaguars & Daimlers 1931 to 1970" Group was created by Clive Clark from Lancashire in the UK for aficionados of the above said models, during the period of Sir William Lyons. The first proper Jaguar car (the SS) was launched in 1931 and Sir William Lyons retired in 1972, at which point the XJ cars were in production, and Jaguar was part of British Leyland, so the dates encompass the Period where Sir William had a direct influence. I am very fond of the earlier Jaguars up to 1970 and believe there is very little information about them on the internet, I suppose this is understandable as the cars get older.. The Group will be great a place to share general information, videos and images for these cars. Also for for owners or enthusiasts wanting to become owner it will be another great place to advertise to the public what you want to sell or what you are trying to source, parts, cars and services.
I am proud to be the forum co-ordinator for the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club for the following models: Jaguar MK7, 8 & 9 (For about 4 months now) Jaguar Mk10 & 420G (For the best part of 2 years I think) I am always keen to learn more about the cars and broaden my knowledge on the subject.
So the cars included are from the sports car range: XK120, XK140, XK150.
From the saloon range: MK1, Mk2, 240, 340, S-Type, 420, Mk5, Mk7, Mk8, Mk9, Mk10 & 420G. From the supercar range: XKSS. From the racing range: C-Type, D-Type, E-Type, XJ13 I believe all that's left to say is, I hope you find the Group educational with a good a bit of banter thrown in for good measure. We Welcome all members !!!
