Adelaide University Pathology Society

The Adelaide University Pathology Society, or PathSoc, is an educational and research body for medical students at the University of Adelaide. It is the first student society in any Australian medical school devoted to the promotion and teaching of pathology.

PathSoc aims to address the educational requirements of both pre-clinical and clinical students.

For pre-clinical students, PathSoc aims to:
1. Improve pathology education in parallel to the current medical curriculum;
2. Facilitate research opportunities in the area of pathology;
3. Increase interest in pathology; and
4. Increase appreciation for the different disciplines of pathology.

For clinical students, PathSoc aims to:
1. Foster an interest in a career in pathology;
2. Provide opportunities for student (peer) teaching; and
3. Promote the importance of pathology in clinical practice.
