Grant Park Gang

Renamed: THE GRANT PARK APPRECIATION GROUP

People who grew up, lived and went to school in the Grant Park area of Atlanta, Georgia.

The Grant Park neighborhood was named for Lemuel (L.P.) Grant, a civil engineer for the Georgia Railroad who has been called the “Father of Atlanta.”
Grant Park, as a neighborhood, began to be populated in the 1890’s. Craftsmen built many of the architecturally distinctive homes you see today.
Grant Park encompasses 131.5 acres of land, 100 of which were donated by Col Lemuel P. Grant in 1881 for use as a public park.
