Memories of Edge Hill, Liverpool 7

The area of Edge Hill in Liverpool is slowly being revamped. Those shops and houses not already demolished are boarded up and empty. Where there was once a vibrant and friendly Scouse community there is now a ghost town.
However, the community will be back albeit in a new form and living in brand new houses.
This group has been created to gather people's memories of the old Edge Hill, the post-war, baby-boomer Edge Hill of the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's before the bulldozers moved in.
Let's hear about the families, the schools, the shops, the pubs, the street parties, the days out, the traditions, the friendships and the enemies.
The town planners can take away our homes but the community spirit lives on in our memories. They will only die when we die. So let's share our memories here and tell the world why us Edge Hillians are the best. Scouse and proud!, AND KEEP OUR MEMORIES FOR EVER
